'tis a week before Christmas
and all through the place
midst wrapping and packing
a smile fills my face
the dog in her collar
with a holiday scheme
folks think I am crazy
to stick to a theme
on walkers and shoppers
tip toeing or prancers
on singers and ringers
and holiday dancers
and out on the lawn
'neath a blanket of snow
the lights that are twinkling
give a warm winter's glow
the wonders a plenty
in front of my eyes
the smiles of the children
the season's best prize
and so I exclaim
as I turn out the light
good yule to you all
and your Holidays bright!
